Job Title: Warehouse Fork Truck Driver

Department: Warehouse

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Summary: The main goal of the warehouse fork truck driver is to organize/store retrieving raw incoming material(s) by performing the following duties. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Transport material by utilizing a Hilo safely throughout facility.
  • Process incoming raw material by organizing warehouse based on bin locations
  • Ensure banding station has proper material levels.
  • Maintain in depth product knowledge. Codes, weights, thickness, storage location, type of metal (aluminum, steel, etc.)
  • Complete daily Hilo check-in/pre-use inspection. Logging results to remain compliant.
  • Communicate status and needs between Loaders, shipping helpers and supervision.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained by watching for product defects of raw and finished goods. Report to corresponding supervisor.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance at QAP facility.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Maintain a high level of organization and cleanliness by utilizing 5s standards.
  • Assist picking and pulling products when needed.
  • Any additional task assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Less than high school education; or one month to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills/Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, and count in simple units of measurement (whole numbers). Ability to read basic English. Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write simple lists.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Ability to earn and maintain hilo license. Must follow all OSHA standards and regulations.
